Who We Are
12 Monkeys Tours and Safaris Limited is a destination management company based in Kasese, Western Uganda — the gateway town to the Rwenzori Mountains National Park.
We operate tours and safaris in Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania. With over 15 years of experience, we specialise in mountain expeditions on the Rwenzori, gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, wildlife safaris in Queen Elizabeth, the Maasai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and beyond.
Our mission is simple: to share the beauty of Uganda with the world while delivering safe, authentic, and unforgettable experiences. Every trip is guided by locals who know these mountains, forests, and savannas intimately.

Community & Environment
We believe travel should give back. That's why 10% of all profits support the 12 Monkeys Development Initiative (12MDI) — our community organisation working with vulnerable households in the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains.
Through responsible tourism and ethical volunteering, 12MDI runs programs in health, education, clean water, women's empowerment, youth development, and environmental conservation — using tourism as an engine for lasting, locally owned development rather than short-term aid.
Every journey with us helps protect the Rwenzori ecosystem and strengthen the communities who call it home.
